We have 3,500+ Solar Ambassadors in our network, working across 22+ provinces. Between them, they distribute 10,000+ products every month. 90% of Congolese people lack access to electricity. We want to see energy poverty eliminated in the DRC by 2030. Our cost effective systems help off-grid customers power a wide range of appliances.

Where is Nuru solar based?

Nuru deployed Congo’s first solar-based mini-grid in 2017 and has a 1.3MW solar hybrid site in Goma, the largest off-grid mini-grid in sub-Saharan Africa. Another solar hybrid site in Beni and two in the oriental province (Tadu & Faradje). Nuru was first established under the name Kivu Green Energy in August 2015.
